The Innovation Team identify, establish and lead pioneering new ventures across fundraising to underpin our ambition to become a ‘cause of millions’. As Senior Innovation Consultant you will be responsible for creating brilliant ideas and inventive solutions. You will act as a consultant to the business by facilitating internal and external stakeholders, drawing out key business challenges. You will also hold, build and maintain high quality senior relationships with innovation experts, agencies and specialists, bringing in the right skills and the right time. Key aspects of the role also include:
Exploring and creating design briefs and problem definitions with exceptional clarity, based on consumer insight and evidenced business need
Identifying and delivering new opportunities for mass support arising from SCUK’s strategic goals
Facilitating creative business teams and the right expert contributors to deliver new ideas, and build full propositions
Co-creating new mutually beneficial consumer-facing propositions with corporate partners that add value to Save the Children UK
Enabling the design and delivery of rapid and market prototypes of propositions to quickly prove or disprove assumptions.
To be successful you will have experience of working in a fundraising development role, or as part of an Innovation or New Product Development Team beyond the charity sector. You will also have proven success managing the creation and delivery of new things. You will think differently and have the ability to communicate your thinking visually and creatively. With the ability to create examples through mock ups, rapid prototypes, storytelling and/or visual communication, you will have:
Demonstrable experience of coordinating multiple simultaneous innovation or development projects with senior internal and external stakeholders
Experience working in business partnership, in co-creation development, or in a setting with variable and contrasting business needs
A proactive and independent approach and be comfortable and effective working with minimal supervision with senior leadership
The ability to distil complex and varied data into salient information and communicate this simply and clearly
An open, participative and transparent style, embracing of change and welcoming challenge.
