The Nursing and Midwifery Council exists to protect the public. We do this by ensuring that only those who meet our requirements are allowed to practise as a nurse or midwife in the UK. We take action if concerns are raised about whether a nurse or midwife is fit to practise.
About the role
This is a key role in driving performance and quality in the provision of legal services across the NMC in the newly established in-house corporate legal team. Leading on the conduct of complex legal claims or litigation involving the NMC you will identify proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate legal and policy risks while contributing to the strategic development of a corporate legal service.
About you
With substantial experience as a qualified solicitor or barrister with higher rights of audience you will be a confident advocate with sound knowledge of regulatory or other public law. You will have the ability to drive quality through professional supervision, strong leadership and focused approach to delivering results.
