2002 Golf GTI 2.0 Petrol Manual 131,000 miles
Owned since 2009 and maintained by local garages and regular family servicing, this is a desirable car in excellent but not perfect condition. It has not been thrashed about at max revs, or crash damaged. It remains a lively performer, providing 36 mpg overall. Engine and gearbox (manual 5-speed) are A1, the bodywork very good with no rust, and the interior is well kept and comfortable.
Specification Includes: ABS; front and side airbags; central locking with deadlocking; power steering; electric front windows with one touch up/down; electric headlight leveling; A/C; heated electric door mirrors; front and rear cup-holders; AM/FM radio with cassette player; single slot CD player unit in dash.
Added by owner: rear light clusters slightly smoked which are modern "Crystal Style" using original bayonet bulbs; rear parking sensor kit which is fully working.
Negatives known are: The air conditioning needs a regas; the eml light has been on since 2010 but causes no issues in use or at MOT.

General: Over the years the car has had money spent on it, and the new owner will have all old MOTs and service repair invoices. The timing chain was changed around 90,000 miles as specified by VW. The tyres are good with the 4mm tread on fronts and 6 mm on rear tyres - spare is a full sized steel wheel with a tyre which has 5mm tread. The VW original alloys are rare and look well on the car. They are in good, but not perfect condition with OEM centers. These cars use oil naturally, no blue smoke or leaks from this one. Simply top up each month. No coolant loses, and drives at normal temperature on the dashboard dial. Does not overheat.
