Profile
Our client is a global manufacturing company supplying to diverse range of industries including Energy, Marine and Mining sectors. The company prides its self in providing fit for purpose items to the highest possible qualities. They are currently looking for an Electronics Quality Technician Technician to support their Operations team.
Duties
To identify failure modes in components and products from both customers and production
Providing reports for customers and suppliers regarding product faults
Evaluating process or product problems and reporting on causes
Identifying effective corrective and preventative actions
Evaluation and correct disposition of non-conforming material
Examination and approval of sample components from suppliers
Responding directly to non-conformance reports (NCRs) from subsidiary offices and agents
Supporting SQA Engineers, including liaison with suppliers to implement RC-CA
Completion of discrete projects, focussed on product and/or process improvement
Assistance/cover for other department members as required
Qualifications and Experience
HNC/HND in an engineering division
Thorough grasp of electrical and mechanical principles
Ideally experience in a manufacturing environment with electro/mechanical equipment
Flexible with working in both an office and factory environment with a 'hands on' approach
Experience in the use of Coordinate Measuring Machines(CMM's) and/or CAD is beneficial
An affinity with industrial electronics and their interface with mechanical equipment
A sound grasp of electrical and mechanical engineering principles
May have recently completed an engineering apprenticeship or have some post apprenticeship experience

Good team working skills as well as the ability to work independently, under your own initiative
Excellent IT and customer interface skills
A flexible and positive attitude towards working and travel
