Our client are a leading manufacturer of aluminium extrusions/fabrication and require a Production Planner for their busy operations

Day to day duties will include the following:

* Responsible for pro actively interpreting orders into factory plan (Essential)
* To ensure machines and processes are planned to optimum efficiency, issuing plan an production orders (Essential)
* To ensure that materials are ordered to satisfy the factory plan (Essential)
* To liaise with despatch and stock controllers to replenish stock and fulfil orders (Essential)
* To ensure that all paperwork is up to date (Essential)
* Liaise with sales and despatch for prioritising orders (Essential)
* Provide an "available capacity plan" for potential future sales (Essential)
* To promote and implement new working practises adopting a continuous improvement approach in consultation with operations director (Essential)
* Plan the required head count required to operate production efficiently (Essential)

As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:

* An excellent level of production planning or related experience with continuous improvement experience preferred (Essential)
* To possess a sound knowledge on production scheduling, planning and execution (Essential)
* SAP experience would be an advantage (Advantageous)
* To motivate, develop and have direct skills (Essential)
* Excellent computer skills (Essential)
