Roles and Responsibilities:
New starters: issuing new starter packs and contracts of employment (permanent and fixed term), setting up new starters on the HR software system, providing new starter details to the Payroll department, filing all information electronically, obtaining eligibility to work in the UK and proof of competence. Issuing contract extension letters where required.
Training: booking training with external providers, obtaining funding from the training boards, logging training on the HR system.
Leavers and transfers: processing leavers on the HR system, issuing resignation acknowledgement letters, updating the HR system for transferring employees and issuing the relevant contract amendments.
Trade assessments: auditing trade assessment forms, logging the information on the HR system, running reports and liaising with managers with regards to outstanding assessments.
Absence: logging sickness and other absence on the HR system, ensuring all forms relating to absence are stored electronically, notifying the Payroll department of any absences and highlighting excessive periods of sickness or other absence to the HR Advisor.
Other: updating the HR system and filing documents electronically such as reward and recognition and compliance documentation.

Qualifications
Certificate in Human Resource Practice (desirable)
