Due to internal promotion I am looking to recruit a hands-on Sales Director to manage and develop a team of 3 Regional Sales Managers and 13 Area Sales Managers, who will be promoting an industry leading range of lintels and masonry support products through an established network of national and independent merchants.

JOB TITLE: Sales Director
PRODUCTS: Lintels and masonry support building materials
CUSTOMERS: Builders merchants, distributors, buying groups, contractors, house builders and developers
TERRITORY: National role
PACKAGE: Competitive basic salary + OTE, executive car, healthcare, pension

THE ROLE Sales Director:
To develop and deliver the strategy for profitable sales growth.
Put in place revenue and margin targets for the product groups within the range.
Lead, manage and motivate a team comprising of 3 Regional Sales Managers, 1 Commercial Manager, 13 Area Sales Managers and 9 internal sales support staff.
Leading from the front, out with the team and in with prospective and existing customers to maintain and strengthen relationships.
To help develop additional routes to market and identify actual and prospective business opportunities.
Plan and support local marketing initiatives, and integrate with other organised marketing activities.

THE TEAM:
Raising awareness and increasing sales of a range of lintels and masonry support products.
Managing & developing the relationship with builders merchants and distributors.
Whilst equally creating demand & winning business with the contractors and developers.
With all business back-sold through the distribution network.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:
Firstly and most importantly you will come from within the construction industry and have sales management experience.
You will be experienced of leading and managing sales teams whose route to market is through merchants and distributors.
Whilst also having some experience of tiered management, and managing and developing sales managers.
My client is open from which discipline of the construction industry your experience comes.
You will be a manager who likes to lead from the front, and is happiest out with the team and in front of customers.
