Person Specification for Head of Maths - SEN
As Head of Department you will be a core member of their Middle Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a growing department in an expanding school as well as developing wider leadership skills and there may be the opportunity to undertake the National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership (NPQML). You will develop and teach the Maths curriculum to at least GCSE level across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 and will also be responsible for supporting the development of the Maths curriculum, including Numeracy, and the staff involved in these key areas.

About the Role for Head of Maths - SEN
This SEN Head of Maths position involves taking charge of the committed Maths team as an important part of the middle management unit. An important aspect of this Head of Maths role is full responsibility of the allocation of the department's resources; it will fall to you to ensure that they are well kept and up-to-date. In this consultative reporting process, you have the opportunity to observe experienced SLT in a modern and successful SEN school.
