SEN Teaching Assistant Required for mainstream school in Enfield

The job:

A 'Good' school in Enfield is seeking a committed teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a KS1 pupil to start in September.

It will be working with a little boy who has ADHD and is moving into a Year 1 class. The pupil is non verbal and needs a lot of support so the school would be really interested in speaking to candidates with experience of working with young children on a 1:1 basis.

This will be a full time job working Monday to Friday from 08:30 - 15:45 and will be a long term assignment with the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff in the future.

The successful candidate would be required to work towards the following:

- Employ strategies for behaviour management and report any problems to the teacher

- Report any progress towards target for the pupil's behaviour support plan

- Provide support during learning activities

- Promote independent learning
