What Will I Be Doing?

As the Head of Data Engineering, youll be leading our software engineering efforts, ensuring that the software we develop, test and release scales quickly and reliably.

Specifically, you will:

- Build tools and platforms that support internal projects involving IoT and real time data streams
- Take charge of the strategic technical vision and execution of data tools, infrastructure and engineering
- Drive constant, incremental value through delivery
- Build, manage, motivate, support and facilitate the professional development of teams of Engineers
- Push a mindset of technical and productive excellence throughout your teams

But What Will I Need?

To be considered as the Head of Data Engineering, you will need:

- A strong software engineering background in data intensive, scalable, distributed applications
- Experience in owning data strategy across an organisation, working with senior stakeholders
- Experience with big data, streaming and parallel computation
- Experience of creating and implementing data security strategies
- Experience in a number of programming languages and a broad knowledge of modern technologies
- Strong line management experience/people management experience
