Job Title: Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer

Location: Winchester

Salary: £32K - £42K

The Role

My client is currently seeking a Senior or Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer to work on new and existing projects in southern England, mainly comprising Phase 1 and Phase 2 Site Investigations. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of different projects mostly comprising redevelopment of brownfield sites. You will have the opportunity to become a key member of the team, working with on some exciting projects.

The role will include:

1. Assisting with Business Development

2. Planning, execution and reporting of Phase 1 and Phase 2 Geo-Environmental and Geotechnical site investigations

3. Scheduling laboratory testing

4. Conducting soil and groundwater risk assessments

5. Liaising with Clients and Regulators Mentoring junior staff

Skills & Experience Required:

1. Relevant degree in Geology, Environmental Science - postgraduate degree desirable

2. Chartered or nearing chartered status CGeol, CSi or CEnv

3. UK consultancy experience

4. Excellent communication and report writing skills

5. Experience of quantitative human health, groundwater and ground-gas risk assessments

6. Willingness to research and keep up to date with current contamination topics & legislation

7. Liaison with Clients and Regulators including Local Authorities and the Environment Agency

8. Ideally knowledge of asbestos regulations and associated testing and risk assessment

9. Strong geotechnical knowledge

10. Full driving licence
