Major Works Project Manager urgently required for local authority client.
THE ROLE
The purpose of this job is to project manage a substantial proportion of the Housing Capital Programme c£30m per annum.
1. To design and deliver Housing capital programme works on a borough-wide basis which delivers the Councils strategic ambitions, with particular emphasis on the delivery of improved social housing, environmental improvements, jobs, and socio-economic development.
2. To support the Head of Service on project and programme management activities related to any of the projects/programmes that may be ongoing, ensuring they are managed to corporate project management standards.
3. To work with other Departments of the Council required to deliver the Councils Housing Capital Programme objectives and to be responsible for the Corporate profile of the Team.
4. To represent the Council in strategic partnerships and in the delivery of capital programmes.
5. To oversee development and delivery of initiatives which cut across the Housing Capital programme and are fundamental to successful delivery including a consistent and proactive internal and external communications strategy.
6. To manage the delivery of promotional activities relating to Housing Capital programmes, to increase the regional and national profile of Enfield projects.
7. To make recommendations to the appropriate decision making forums and negotiate agreements with partners, drawing on legal expertise as required. To prepare and present reports for Senior Managers and Members to facilitate and inform understanding and decision-making.
8. To ensure plans are realistic in terms of cost, time and outputs and to maintain effective systems, processes and procedures for collecting, analysing and sharing data, enabling more effective decision making and joint working in support of continuous improvements in service planning and delivery.
9. To build, establish and develop key strategic partnerships at a senior level, internally and externally; including but not limited to Programme Boards, Government departments, GLA, TfL, Environment Agency, landowners and developers to maximise and secure sustainable delivery as appropriate to individual projects.
