Location: Kent and Sussex
Contract type: Freelance
Start date: November/ December 2017
Salary: £250-£300 per day (depending upon experience)
The Project:
A diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from road improvements, concrete repairs & reinstatements, aviation projects, water treatment works, paving repairs and specialist framework projects.
The Role:
These are perfect opportunities working with well known civils contractors, who hold excellent reputations in the region.
You will be responsible for:
* Procuring sub-contractors, agreeing prices and letting the packages
* Negotiating costs with various parties
* Drawing up contracts (NEC)
* Monthly reporting (CVR)
* Responsible for work package change control and management
* Dealing with any pricing variations
* Responsible for project re-measure
* Preparing final accounts
Requirements:
* Degree / HND in Quantity Surveying
* Excellent IT and maths skills are essential
* Attention to detail
* Excellent report writing and negotiation skills are essential
* Experience in - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, water works, frameworks and special works
