Position: Manual Turner

Location: Dewsbury

Salary: Circa £25000

Hours: 8am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs 2pm finish on a Friday + Overtime

The Company

Our client based in Dewsbury West Yorkshire are a supplier of mechanical components to the Aerospace and Defence industries. Due to ongoing growth within their business our client are looking to appoint an Apprentice trained Manual Centre Lathe Turner with vast experience in Conventional machining principles with particular focus on Manual Turning, Applicant must be apprenticed trained or a time served Centre Lathe Turner with experience of interpret engineering drawings.

The Position

* Manual turning of complex small to medium precision engineered components for the Aerospace and Defence industry

* Confident of working on Medium to small batch work

* Identify and utilise best practice methods for work holding, tight tolerance machining and tooling.

* Fully experienced with the machining of standard and exotic materials.

* Able to work as part of a team and multi-task within a busy manufacturing environment.

* competent in self inspection and be able to verify component quality.

The successful candidates must be Apprentice trained or time served as a Manual Turner and be able to work on their own initiative
