Technical Training Co-Ordinator
Carrington West on behalf of their client is recruiting for a Technical Training Co-Ordinator based in Exeter this is a part time role working 3 days per week.
The Technical Training Co-Ordinator will be responsible for Organising training courses for our operational employees and updating records and database to ensure our employees are compliant holding the necessary qualifications to carry out highways works. You will be expected to travel around the local depots.
Key Accountabilities of the Technical Training Co-Ordinator
·Support the operational teams by ensuring appropriate training plans are in place and providing support to depot managers to ensure that workforce have relevant skill sets to deliver to the project.
·Produce and analyse training data and use this to support/challenge the managers in training delivery on contract.
·Manage and liaise with operational managers on training forecasts
·Manage and coordinate Operational training events. This includes programming dates, venues and room bookings, course material and hiring plant/equipment.
·Maintain central training and competency databases for all Employees to include both new and existing qualifications
·Recording and distribution of all certificates & cards
·Liaison with internal/external training providers
·Manage and maintain programmes of mandatory H&S Training including CSCS cards in line with company standards
·Prepare reports/information where requested by our Technical Training Manager
·Attend monthly Training Coordinator forums and depot managers meetings
·General ADHOC Training Administration
Working Environment
·The role is office based but a requirement to travel is expected for Training Forum meetings and also to local depots as visits to our Peterborough contract.
Knowledge and Experience
·Excellent IT skills; proficient in MS Office, with good Excel skills and experience of web based mapping systems is desirable.
·Previous training administration/co-ordination experience is desirable including organising training courses involving liaising with course organiser and training delegates, updating spreadsheets and collating information on the training database.
·Flexible and positive approach with a 'can do' attitude.
·Proactive and keen to learn new systems and processes and contribute toward improvements by challenging "the way things have always been done"
·Effective communicator both written and verbal. Comfortable to challenge and put forward ideas.
·Team player able to work to deadlines and deliver assigned tasks autonomously within a defined framework.
Be able to influence central training decisions
