Are you an experienced Cost Accountant with experience of working in a manufacturing environment ideally within the automotive sector? Working for a world class product development company, based in Peterlee, who supply the automotive industry you will be remunerated with a salary of £28-38k per annum plus excellent benefits and an early finish on a Friday!

As Cost Accountant you will report into the Group Finance Director and Purchasing Manager with responsibility for controlling the integrity and accuracy of the cost accounting function for the business operation to meet requirements/ standard in line with strict deadlines providing management with full transparency of plant operating costs.

Main duties will include analysing and attributing variable and fixed costs to respective costs accounts, track and maintain standard cost compared to actual cost and moving average cost, inventory management, profit margin analysis, ensure accuracy of plant cost criteria maintaining annual standard calculations for material, labour and overheads as well as assist with internal auditing schedules.

As an experienced Cost Accountant/ Cost Analyst you will have a relevant finance qualification (CIMA, AAT, or equivalent) with experience of working in the automotive/ engineering/ manufacturing sector. Excellent IT skills are required specifically Excel, Word, Outlook and working knowledge of ERP systems.
