**Responsible to:** Site Supervisor
**Job purpose:** To carry out the correct handling and processing of customers goods in line with Standard Operating Procedures. Deputise for the Supervisor in his/her absence. Provide efficient and pro-active support to the site as part of a dedicated team and to the companies policies.
**Principal duties and Responsibilities:**
**Quality**
* Manage physical quarantine process
* Perform daily thickness gauge checks
* Ensure all Non-conformance forms are completed to the required standards
* To alert the site supervisor to any process, job related problems or discrepancies.
* Control product segregation standards
* Strict adherence to Site Quality Standards.
**Cost**
* Record and monitor plant downtime
* Record and monitor consumable stocks
* To take the initiative in telephoning for the services of the Maintenance Technician in the event of a Plant fault during silent hours and the Duty Manager for advice or to inform him of abnormal occurrences.
**Delivery**
* Take ownership of the Plant SQDP boards and lead daily PIT meetings
* To label customers product with the correct batch numbers and placing the correct dosimeters in the Irradiation Plants. In conjunction with standard operating procedures.
* To Maintain and constantly improve the Site 5S Standards throughout the duration of the shift.
* Process all customers product in line with the special instructions and processing parameters.
* To ensure the Routine Dosimeters are read, prior to shift hand-over, by an authorised person.
**Safety**
* To take responsibility, during silent hours, for the security of the premises and customer goods.
**People**
* To Lead the team, as well as undertake the operators duties, ensuring that instructions given by Management are carried out.
* To deputise for Site Supervisor when appropriate.
* To ensure that all tasks are performed with due recognition of safety and environmental risks, maintaining equipment and wearing protective clothing as appropriate.
· To ensure Site security alarms are activated and de-activated when required.
* To record and report any incidents to Site Management.
* To ensure all Staff are updated with the required training standards to Site procedures.
Others
* To attend all relevant site management meetings as instructed by Operations Manager.
* To perform any reasonable additional tasks as required by Site Management

Price / Salary: £22,000 - £24,000
