Architect needed asap West Midlands!

My client is expanding company and are becoming a significant force in the Modular Industry. They provide a quality service to the Construction Industry, Education Sector, Infrastructure and Commercial Blue Chip clients.

The company has a vacancy for an Architect to join the existing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years' experience and will have a proven track record of designing and specifying buildings from concept to project delivery. Including the provision of full packages including drawings, specifications and bills of material to allow the manufacture and delivery of modular buildings and houses.

Qualifications

Suitable Degree in Architecture
Fully Proficient with a Computer Aided BIM Drawing package
Microsoft Office literature, particularly Project and Excel

Duties

Reporting to the Technical Manager you will be required to perform the following tasks;
Review and assess client information
Produce plan, elevation and sectional drawings to accompany sales packages to clients
Produce detailed specifications to accompany sales packages to clients

Provide 3d visualisations of buildings in their intended location

Attend meetings with clients to understand and agree scope and specification
Attend client meetings following the issue of a sales package to further outline our proposals
Source building materials and provide samples to clients and planners as required
Submit planning applications together with all required information
Submit Building Regulation applications and provide all supporting documentation dealing with queries as they arise
Produce production drawings for manufacture including detailed plan drawings, component drawings, construction drawings and bills of materials
Produce site drawings including foundation and drainage details
Provide hand over package to factory and attend hand over meetings to aid manufacture
Liaise with subcontractors to include their details within our packages
To develop an understanding of and assist in the on-going improvement if systems and processes that govern and control the effective delivery of quality workmanship and services
Working closely with Buying and QS Departments in terms of material and subcontract supply chain
Provide information fir handover and O&M manuals
Strictly adhere to internal procedures and processes
Assist all departments as the business requires

The Candidate

-The candidate will have at least 5 years experience in the architectural/construction industry
-Be fully conversant with a computer aided design BIM drawing package
-Fully literate in Microsoft packages particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
-Understand Building Regulations and regulatory design parameters
-Have an eye for detail
-Be educated to degree level
-Have an adaptable can do outlook and approach to work
