Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Southwark

Pay: £80 - £95 per day

I am working with a fantastic secondary academy that are looking to recruit a number of Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistants. These positions are to work 1 to 1 alongside children with a range of needs in our Primary and Secondary Schools across Southwark on both a short and long-term basis, alongside day to day supply support workers.

The school has around 21 statemented children that need additional support. The right experience is needed to work in these positions as they are working directly with statemented children.

We are also looking ahead to the next academic year alongside the rest of the current one. We currently work with many schools in Southwark who need exceptional and experienced SEN LSAs. You'll be required to work within schools where pupils may have behaviour issues, Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) amongst others.

In particular we are looking for experienced workers in these areas and the following:

* English as an Additional Language (EAL)
* Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
* MAKATON and manual handling.
