Horizon Search &Horizon Search & Selection are currently seeking a Project Manager (Bespoke Products) for a successful Manufacturing Company that supply products to the construction industry and are based in Diss, Norfolk.

Based within the Operations Department, the purpose of this role is to take responsibility for the management of various projects simultaneously from inception right the way through to when the product is fitted on site and beyond! The project manager remains the ongoing point of contact for the client in order to meet the required deadlines and uphold outstanding customer service at all times.
This important role will also have the following duties and responsibilities:
Taking ownership of the project throughout its life cycle from point of sales through to installation
Site Visits, as required, in order to conduct surveys and attend site meetings
Working closely with the Area Specification Managers, assisting with pre-contract/ pre-start meetings
Remain in constant communication with clients, keeping them updated with the project progress
Compile and issue clear instruction to internal departments to allow them to complete their stage of the project as efficiently as possible
Co-ordination of transport and installation resource including the arrangement of equipment as required
Working within the team to develop new processes to improve departmental and company output
Ensuring that all data related to each project is updated within the various systems used such as GANT Charts, Valkerie as well as individual project tracking sheets
Ensure that payment terms are adhered to by the client
Provide assistance in the compilation of monthly management reports required by the management team ensuring that any shortfalls in project delivery are highlighted, costed and actioned
Ensure variations to projects are correctly instructed, costed and actioned
Raising and issuing manufacturing packs to purchasing
Liaison with the Design Team to ensure that all bespoke project drawings and manufacturing packs are released to schedule and in adherence to contractual deadlines
Making sure the project remains within budget, reporting results post installation
As required, take responsibility for the preparation of project specific RAMS
Constant communication with other internal departments as well as suppliers
Keeping in close contact with clients at all times
Assist in the development of new processes to improve departmental and company output
Working to company regulations and high standards at all times and adhering to stringent
Health & Safety requirements at all times
Essential Skills and Attributes:
Previous experience of Project Management within the building services industry would be highly desirable
Experience of running multiple projects simultaneously
Creating and monitoring budgets
A proven track record of delivering to tight schedules
The ability to accurately measure structures and report results
Ideally a working knowledge within a manufacturing porducts for building services company would be beneficial
First rate customer service and communication skills at all levels
Knowledge of Engineering, Architectural and Construction Drawings/ CAD
Contractual knowledge and understanding of JCT/NEC3 and contractors own terms
The ability to work on ones own initiative
Knowledge of creating, issuing and progressing work packages for various project stages
Outstanding computer skills in MS Office, with Excel in particular
Some knowledge of Sage would also be highly beneficial
Excellent organisational skills
A decisive and positive attitude with the drive to succeed
Happy to travel as required.

CSCS card

Previous experience of rooflights/ architectural glazing
