Java Developer Digital Agency Kingston

A fast growing digital media agency in South West London / Kingston is seeking a Java Developer to join their team and support the growth and development of their awesome product offering!

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Java Developer to work with the latest tech in a fun, energetic and collaborative Agency environment.

This role is to provide Java development support to a range of clients, across different industries, as well as be involved in creating and building new functionality and features as part of projects.

Main Activities

Below is a non-exhaustive list of day-to-day activities that are involved in this role:

Take part in Scrum style stand-ups

Estimate and evaluate tickets

Develop new functionality and modules to Java standards

Iterate and improve on existing functionality and modules to Java standards

Skills / experience required:

The ideal candidate must have commercial experience in the following skills or have relevant transferable skills:

Java SE / Java EE experience 7+

Knowledge of JSP, JDBC, JPA, Hibernate

Demonstrable Object Orientated (OO) development experience

Build systems experience to include ANT, Maven

MySQL 5.6+ experience

Demonstrable web service experience

Git/SVN Version Control
