The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer specialising in automated test to join our test development team. This is a fantastic opportunity as we begin work on a host of challenging, yet rewarding projects

Manufacturing UK is an integral part of the Operations Directorate whose principal mission is to ensure that MBDA`s deliverable commitments are met in terms of time, cost and quality.

The Role

- Working in the established test development team, you will be responsible for the design and manufacture of automated test equipment for use in our world class manufacturing facilities
- Our projects range from relatively simple actuator systems, through to complex weapon controllers and seekers.
- You will have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and develop cutting edge test processes based around the National Instruments test platforms
- Depending on the project it may be necessary to develop custom electronics interfaces using circuit capture and PCB layout tools, Mutlisim and Ultiboard
- A key part of the role will be to understand the ATE requirements, and where needed create and maintain test specifications and documentation
- The role requires someone who can go from a blank page` to a finished system, whilst balancing the needs of the business with cost and efficiencies

What are we looking for?

- To succeed in this role, you will need sharp problem solving skills and an exceptional eye for detail
- Degree/HND Level of Qualifications or equivalent (Engineering / Electronics Preferable)
- Working background in test equipment design and manufacture
- Practical experience of circuit capture and PCB layout, preferably NI Multisim and Ultiboard
- An understanding of RF and Microwave technology at subsystem level would be an advantage
- A deep understanding of measurement and test principles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communication both verbally and in writing
- Good planning and organisation skills
