Fantastic opportunity to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
They are looking to recruit a talented Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the Thames Valley region, based out of their office near Reading.

Works are typically in the Thames Valley corridor. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will comfortable leading a team of Surveyors, working on building projects up to £50 million. Someone who can demonstrate a stable career and be looking to drive increased levels of profit and cost savings on every project. The fact you are commercially astute is a given. Ideally you will show you have the potential of leading your own team and readily implement new procedures/processes.

The role will be to provide commercial expertise on behalf of the Main Contractor, reporting on contract commercial performance to the Commercial Director. Ideally you would be coming from or have experience of working with a Top 200 Main Contractor.
About The Role
Managing all commercial aspects of the project.
Producing monthly valuations and applications.
Managing monthly commercial reporting.
All aspects relating to bulk material procurement.
Sub-contract procurement.
Managing variation to contract accounts.
Producing & managing direct labour payments
Requirements
Good communication skills and presentable appearance.
Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management, including direct contact with our clients.
Ability to work to programmes and deadlines, and be flexible to adapt to change.
Ability to read and understand drawings.
Experienced in managing direct and sub-contract labour.
Sound technical building knowledge.
Must be computer literate in most Microsoft programmes, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.

On offer for the Managing Quantity Surveyor position is a basic salary in the region of £75,000 circa p.a. depending on experience, plus package and car allowance. This is an excellent opportunity with a sought after company who continue to expand.
