Introduction

An incredibly exciting opportunity has arisen for a desktop support technician to join one of the UK's leading companies.

Specification

As a desktop support technician you will deliver excellent customer service and quality 1st line technical support for internal users in Hatfield.

You will work in a dynamic environment with new challenges and technologies being constantly developed and deployed.

You will be working in a 1st line capacity, assisted in a 2nd line capacity under guidance from senior team members.

This role is to cover a 24/7 rotational shift pattern - 4 days on/4 days off and a substantial salary uplift is on offer. Please apply for more information.

Responsibilities:

* Primarily desk side support with assisted 2nd line support
* Close attention to service level agreements and setting clear expectations to the customer
* Delivering a first class service focusing on customer satisfaction and responding to internal customer needs
* Maintaining and supporting Windows technology and responding to issues in an efficient manner
* Participate and implement elements of business projects as and when required
* Ability to follow policies and procedures clearly, ensuring documentation is correct

Skills

* 1st/2nd line support experience within a large helpdesk ideally or desktop support team
* Proven track record of providing high quality customer service, this is incredibly important
* Ability to provide technical support on Windows 7/8
* Ideally you will have an understanding of Citrix although this is not essential for the role
* Good understanding of basic networking principles (dns, dhcp)
* Logical problem solving through to resolution
* Working well as part of a team, supporting each other.
