Automotive Quality Auditor - Gauges - £13.66 per hour - rotating shifts - 3 Month Rolling Contract



Reporting to the Quality Engineer, the Quality Auditor will maintain, check and calibrate gauges throughout the Plant, back to UCAS calibrated masters. You will plan and organise test cell calibrations. Measure speed and minipatch flow. Keep records updated and issue cell calibration certificates. Calibration of internal and external gauges. Ensure gauges are free from wear and damage, plus operate to the required standard. Physically calibrate more common gauges (torque wrench, DTI, slips, plug, thread, etc). Issue reports on overdue calibrations, record all gauge calibrations on relevant Excel master database. Ensure that gauges are calibrated to the gauge recall system schedule and escalate issues with gauge availability. Arrange collection of gauges.

Ideally you will have experience within a mechanical engineering environment, with knowledge and use of inspection principles being advantageous. The ability to interpret engineering standards and drawings is also advantageous, with experience in a machining or inspection environment preferred. You will also possess good communication skills, both written and verbal and have a positive attitude and be flexible to adapt to a busy and varied role.
