We have a fantastic opportunity with NHS England for a Senior Commissioning Support Officer based in Stockton-On-Tees. This role is a temporary assignment for initially 4 months, Monday to Friday and full time 37.5 hours a week.
The Commissioning Support Officer will provide a key supporting role to Commissioning Managers contributing their expertise in planning and service reform. They will have a key role and focus in respect of the commissioning agenda within the CCG and will work closely with constituent practices across all care groups.
Commissioning Support Officers will contribute and in some instances lead the following functions in relation to planning and service reform:
Working with constituent practices to identify unwarranted variation across all domains and agreeing actions to address any anomalies
Developing, implementing and monitoring action plans including QIPP
Undertake service reviews and ensure actions are implemented
Re-design of care pathways across all domains
Development of clinical audits
Commissioning Support Officers will:
Contribute to the delivery of CCGs Clear and Credible Plans.
Contribute to, advise on and participate in the corporate business of NECS, working together with colleagues, in order to provide the best possible evidence based healthcare within the available resources.
Assist the organisation towards attaining the best possible practice in all areas NECS responsibilities.
Support the development of NECS corporate identity through a strong contribution to developing the vision, strategic direction, values and culture of the organisation.
Support and promote the culture of a learning organisation committed to high quality of care and continuous improvement.
Develop, review and improve commissioning systems.
Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the delivery of services and/or projects.
Represent the CCG/NECS as required on external bodies.
Co-ordinate a team of staff.
Provide advice to the CCG/NECS functions/committees.
Make a positive contribution to excellent communications across NECS, ensuring effective communication with staff and staff involvement.
Maintain and develop an environment and culture that improves health, safety and security of its staff, patients and service users.
Demonstrate their commitment to developing a culture that promotes equality and values diversity.
Support the development of effective partnership working with all partner organisations.
Contribute to the development of NECS strategies, policies and frameworks that will impact on health and healthcare services for a designated population.
Price / Salary: £15.62 - £16.62/hour
