Principle Biochemist - West Midlands - Permanent full time position

Are you a Biochemist educated to at least MSc level with a good amount of laboratory experience behind you? Do you want to make the transition into industry and join a highly successful multi-national Biotech company based in the West Midlands? My client is looking for an enthusiastic Biochemist who has experience in developing assays and who has experience in protein purification and a desire to manage biochemical projects. This is a perfect opportunity for a suitable qualified biochemist to join a well-respected industrial company.

The ideal candidate;

* You will be MSc educated with industrial experience or have a PhD in Biochemistry
* You will have experience in protein purification ideally both manual and automated
* You will ideally have an understanding of bio-conjugation or immunology assays also
* You will be able to manage a project including material acquisition, maintenance and assessment of the suitability of new equipment.

The Role;

* You will be involved in feasibility studies for protein analysis
* You will be involved in the development validation of processes up to the point of technical transfer.
* You will present data to senior members of staff
* You will manage the project ensuring key targets are kept in sight and met.
