A growing electronic engineering company based in Sunderland are seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer to join their team. If you're a chartered engineer with significant experience gained from working in a technical industry such as robotics, power generation, marine or automotive, then you may be the Principal Engineer we're looking for.

What will you be doing?

As a Principal Electronics Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading the electronics team and representing the company and its products at the highest technical level. You'll have the ability to develop and maintain electronics specification documents, as well as systems and products for BMS applications. In addition to this, you'll display confidence and initiative when working closely and collaboratively with clients and will also participate in both formal and informal peer reviews for your team throughout various stages of development.

What skills/experience should you have?

* Degree in electronic engineering, computer engineering or mechatronics with strong commercial electronic skills
* Knowledge of schematic layout and PCB capture
* Design skills from first principals
* Sound understanding of structured design using Agile and Waterfall methods
* Experience of firmware
