Intelligence Analyst
We are recruiting for an Intelligence Analyst on behalf of our client based in London. Information Analysts carry out crucial work on data preparation, data quality, presentation and reports, analysis/modelling/forecasting, and the interpretation of data to address customer requirements and support Strategic Planning & Service Redesign, and Provider Performance Management activities.
Duties and Responsibilities of an Intelligence Analyst
* Support the Assistant Director of Service Delivery and the team to ensure that their workstream of programmes are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery.
* Manage the Team's business support function, including developing and managing the team's business plan, progress and reporting risk and issue management
* Liaise with appropriate functions within the CSU Manage analysts focussing on the delivery of reporting suite and support management processes through provision of regular reports, performance scorecards and ad hoc analyses. Support project initiatives with information and advice as required.
* Develop and implement a content management system to ensure information is properly managed and best practice is shared across the team, MDTs and the wider organisation
* Understand and deal with data quality issues.
* Use analytical techniques appropriately to improve decision making in support of managing performance.
* Ensure that analytical resources are focused on areas where they can have maximum impact
* Develop skills in one or more specialist analytical techniques or areas (e.g. Forecasting, simulation, statistics, optimisation, experimental design).
* The post holder will support the development of performance reporting systems and processes relating to planning, monitoring, analysing, reporting and action planning to support the commissioning process.
* Develop core products to support the performance management framework in line with national guidance and establish robust monitoring mechanisms.
* Present information and issues, explaining highly complex issues, to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Keep up to date with changes to national guidance and assessment processes relating to corporate performance management, interpret what these changes mean for CSU, and brief managers as required
* Ensure that reports and external performance data returns are timely, accurate, and utilise robust and quality assured data.
* Responsible for planning/organising/attending numerous meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
* To proactively manage stakeholders, ensuring all aspects of provider performance is communicated and best practices shared at all times which may involve attending meetings.
* Develop excellent relationships with external providers of information and analysis and ensure alignment and fit.
* The post holder is required to follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in their work and take responsibility for maintaining their personal training in the use of SOPs as part of their annual training and development plan.

* £44k per annum.

Skill and Experience of an Intelligence Analyst
* Ability to analyse complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources
* Ability to diagnose complex problems, situations and or information and make informed judgement to formulate solutions and recommend/decide on best course of action.
* Ability to think strategically whilst leading a team to deliver results across a number of complex projects with numerous.
* Familiarity with and application of statistical techniques beyond those of descriptive statistics. For example standardisation and confidence intervals.
* Should be able to demonstrate problem structuring and solving skills. Actively researches and reviews work area before starting a new project and regularly updates research to inform direction and technical aspects
* Ability to analyse very complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources. Demonstrated capability to act upon incomplete information, using experience to make inferences and decision making Numerate and able to understand complex financial issues combined with deep analytical skills Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures
