Fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join a highly respected Infrastructure Management organisation working within the Water & Utilities sector on a permanent basis in Birmingham.

Our client provides expert engineering services to the Water and Energy sectors. Due to company growth and an expanding workload, they are seeking a SHEQ Manager to join their skilled team.

You will be responsible for all aspects of SHEQ management matters within the company, and promoting Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality Management compatibility with clients and partners. Key tasks will include:

* Promoting an active SHEQ culture throughout the company
* Ensuring the Managing Director and the Management Team are fully informed about the current QHSE requirements
* Liaising with, and acting as the lead company contact for all appropriate external bodies, including the HSE, EA and all consultant bodies
* Establishing firm and proactive QHSE procedures
* Ensuring all SHEQ policies and procedures are reviewed, adjusted and communicated to employees
* Providing QHSE information and advice to all members of staff
* Complying with all Health and Safety responsibilities

Skills, experience and attributes:

* Degree qualified in relevant safety or environmental discipline
* NEBOSH qualification in safety management
* Member of IOSH, IQA, IEMA or other relevant institute
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet strict deadlines
* Friendly and approachable attitude
