Omega have a permanent vacancy for an experienced, Time served, Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer-Electrically Biased. This role would suit candidates with a minimum of 2 years working in a Food manufacturing environment. This is a critical role to the business to support with goals and objectives. We are looking or a candidate who can support the site, maintenance of the plant, machinery and services

Duties-Not exhaustive
To Ensure plant and personnel adhere to Health & Safety legislation, policy and standards identifying any required actions so that the area of responsibility is healthy, safe and accident free.
PPM and reactive timely maintenance to minimise downtime
Food Safety awareness, working to standards (eg. HACCP, BRC)
Daily/weekly Maintenance team meetings
To maintain company and statutory hygiene standards throughout designated areas including promoting the principles of basic food hygiene and good housekeeping.
Communication with all areas of the business, working closely with Production
Continuous Improvement projects
Identify required spares
Modify plant and equipment to improve performance
Record and report all maintenance activities undertaken
Assist in the training of apprentices and machine operatives

Requirements
Knowledge and experience of operating in a FMCG environment.
Using software.
HACCP and COSHH knowledge
Responsible for own quality of work
Knowledge and experience of food manufacturing process's, plant & technology.
Be able to work alone, or as part of a team.
Excellent Fault finding skills
To be able to interpret drawings
An understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
Good analytical skills
Good practical and technical skills.
The ability to work quickly and under pressure.
Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
An aptitude to develop new skills.

You must be flexible to work across all 4 shifts, Mon-Friday and flexible for a 1 in 4 Saturday shift
