Senior Civil and Structural Engineer
Salford
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join a well-respected Design and Engineering company. You will be leading small to medium Civil and Structural Projects as well as contributing to larger Civil and Structural Projects controlling specific design packages

Ideal candidate;
You have experience on Civil and Structural projects
You have experience and knowledge of Civil and Structural Design
You have detailed knowledge of current Civil and Structural Design codes and standards

Responsibilities;
Manage and deliver design packages to cost, schedule and quality criteria.
Produce and check design calculations to appropriate standards.
Manage small teams producing design calculations and drawings.
Provide operational support to Principal and Associate.
Ensure compliance with business quality & management systems.
Lead C&S design delivery across single projects or part of larger projects in single- or multidiscipline teams.
Implement 'Perfect Delivery'.
Report on project performance to Associate.
Tender preparation for projects of all sizes, including fee estimates.
Be open to and encourage innovation and sustainability.
Mentor, train and develop junior engineers.
Support individuals to maximise performance.
Represent the company at client meetings and site visits.

Skills and Experience:
Detailed knowledge of current C&S design codes & standards.
Experienced in discharging responsibilities under CDM and health and safety regulations
Experience of project delivery within some of the sectors we operate within.
Familiar with relevant technical standards and assurance processes.
Proven ability to work within a fully integrated, multi-discipline design team.
Experience and knowledge of broad range of civil and structural design, including:
Building structures (New & alterations to existing)
Foundations
Earthworks and site investigations
Minor road
Drainage
Specialist knowledge or sector expertise (e.g. Power, Life Sciences)

Qualifications & personal skills:
Chartered Civil/ Structural Engineer CEng MICE/ MIStructE
Good communication skills.
Flexible & open minded.
Attention to detail.
