An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Young Peoples Interventions Worker to join our team on a part time bases and will be based at our Leicester City Centre office. In return, we offer a competitive salary of £24646 pro rata plus 3% pension after 6 months.
The Young Peoples Intervention Worker will be working closely with families to deliver the Respect Young People's Programme (RYPP), which is an externally evaluated programme that aims to reduce violence and abuse and improve outcomes for young people and their families. Full training on delivery of the RYPP will be given. Secondments from statutory/voluntary agencies will be considered.
The main responsibilities for the Young Peoples Interventions Worker are:
* Delivering the Respect Young People's Programme with young people using violence and abusive behaviour towards parents/carers
* Conducting risk assessments and suitability assessments with families
* Attending and contributing to multi-agency meetings
* Making referrals to other agencies to meet young people's needs
* Recording and monitoring outcomes for evaluation purposes
The successful Young Peoples Intervention Worker will have:
* An honours degree or equivalent qualification or substantial relevant experience
* Recent experience of working with young people and/or families
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Multi-agency working
* Knowledge and application of computerized systems including Microsoft Office applications, PowerPoint and email systems
The hours of work are 22 per week.
This role will be funded until March 2019.
