Elevation Recruitment Group are currently supporting a major retail organisation based in Bradford as they look to strengthen their finance team within this region by recruiting a driven and ambitious Financial Accountant.

In the role you will ensure the company meets its financial statutory responsibility, delivering the best outcome for the business, at both a local and global level; whilst ensuring rigor and meeting all deadlines. Develop, maintain and govern the financial controls, ensuring that they are consistently applied by the wider business.

This would be an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified accountant looking for their first move in to industry.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring the Statutory accounts, Tax computations and Tax return are prepared, compliant and delivered to the agreed deadline
- Ensure that appropriate tax accounting arrangements are in place and that they are adhered to
- Ensuring the business is kept up to date with, and is following, all the relevant policies
- Managing the Internal and External Audit; developing and maintaining financial controls ensuring they are consistently applied
- Ensure cash and bank facilities are fit for the business needs and highlight any issue; 1st point of contact with our Banking Partners
- Continuous Improvement of controls and procedures for the benefit of the company

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

- ACA Qualified
- Able to demonstrate strong technical accounting skills (IFRS/UK GAAP)
- Naturally well organised with the ability to produce highly accurate information, on time, for board level review
- Able to demonstrate a strong track record within audit
- Able to communicate confidently with a diverse stakeholder group
