Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Mechanical & Electrical engineer 17th Edition electrically biased engineer with vast mechanical experience to undertake the general building maintenance, asset verification, minor installation and reactive repairs to ensure compliance with the specification, PPM schedules and procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The roles and responsibilities for the Electrical and Mechanical Engineer (M&E Engineer) will be varied and will include, but not be limited to:
Manage and schedule independently a PPM planner and complete all PPM reporting back to the remote helpdesk
Undertake all statutory compliance tasks for the building including fire alarm testing, outlet flushing, emergency light testing
Managing requests on building management system
Working with facilities team in order to schedule and undertake planned or reactive works with minimal disruption.
Manage the safe working practices of all contractors working in the clients building for PPM, statutory and reactive works. This includes signing off of risk assessments, method statements, work permits and completion of site inductions.
Assisting the Apleona projects teams in large scale building projects for the client
Build and develop effective relationships with all specialist subcontractor leads
To oversee the attendance of specialist subcontractors and mobile service engineers to ensure the ongoing efficient operation of the building services systems.
To achieve a prompt, effective response to emergency situations being capable of diagnosing faults and initiating actions to prevent deterioration in environmental conditions within the premises.
Understanding the importance of energy management to benefit the long term interest of the client.
Assist in the undertaking of statutory fire evacuations
To action tasks in a logical manner and demonstrate a willingness to seek advice and support where appropriate.
To be available to ensure clients systems are not prejudiced and to maintain the continuity of operation as far as practical circumstances will allow.
To provide a polite, effective and presentable service to clients, colleagues and suppliers.
To be compliant with health and safety at work requirements, Fire Regulations, COSHH Regulations and safe working practices, including the use of prescribed protective clothing or equipment.
Direct and concise reporting for the client, working closely with Ferrero on a day to day basis
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
Industry recognised Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
Extensive knowledge on Microsoft packages Excel, Word, Outlook
Extensive knowledge on PPM schedules and asset management
17th Edition IEE Regulations,
Ability to get on well with others and inspire respect and confidence
Ability to work well in a team
Price / Salary: £32000/annum
