Research Scientist

£35,000 - £40,000 + excellent benefits (including healthcare, life cover, 26 days holiday + bank holidays)

IntaPeople are currently recruiting for a leading manufacturer in the Oxford area who are in need of a research scientist to join their team. The successful candidate will be part of their R&D department contributing to the development of specialist scientific instrumentation. The role will include some customer facing aspects and will include some travel.

The role:

- Development of specialist scientific instruments
- Continuous improvement and development of new and existing methods
- Preparation of technical documents and reports
- Technical scientific support to other departments and clients
- Establish relationships with academic research groups

Experience/skills

- Ideally PhD educated in Physics or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in a scientific instrumentation environment
- Capability to run projects without supervision
- Experiment design experience
- Mechanical and electronic design
- Excellent communication skills
