Networkers are currently working alongside a leading Highways intelligence business that are looking for a Java Developer to work on a new contract that they have recently won.

The Role:

An opportunity for an experienced Java Developer with experience with Microservices to help design and develop a high-profile microservice application.

The initial project is a high-profile, multimillion-pound contract with challenging timescales, so there will be a large team building on your work. You will be making extensive use of modern, open-source tools and frameworks, so this is an excellent way to keep your skills current.

Person specification:

* Strong hands-on development background - capable of creating, identifying and enforcing the highest code quality and standards
* Engineering craftsmanship - takes pride in the code they write, and wants to jump in and contribute code whenever possible
* Reasoning & communication skills - can make a strong case for technology choices
* Very quick learner - can learn new/unfamiliar technologies quickly and with little effort
* Open minded to different technical solutions, but carefully question each solution's merit
* Ambitious & passionate - designing and building complex things is exciting, not daunting
* Depth and breadth of knowledge across multiple software engineering disciplines
