Sales Ledger Supervisor required for our client, a global, online travel business, based in the City.
This is a brand new role that has been created by the business, where you will be supporting a Sales Ledger junior, who is currently looking at implementing new invoicing processes. Reporting to the Finance manager, you'll become a key member of the finance team which covers 4 countries currently (US, France, UK and Italy) and over 100 destinations.
The role would suit a strong Sales Ledger expert, looking to take a step up into management. You will need to have experience of working in high volume environments, ie travel, recruitment, hospitality.
Key skills include:
* A strong sales ledger background, from a high volume background
* A good understanding of VAT and multi currency would be advantageous
* Previous experience within hospitality / travel would be beneficial also
* Eagle-eyed ability to spot trends and pick out inaccuracies
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Role will include:
* Provide direction to highly talented Finance Executive. Attract, retain, motivate, coach & develop team member for high performance. Create an environment which inspires and maintain a highly engaged team able to take on new regions.
* Actively manage the company's accounts receivable portfolio by reducing instances of fraud
* Prepare and execute workflow plans targeted to reduce JIRA tickets.
* Prepare accounts receivable metrics and analytics on a monthly and quarterly basis and give status updates on the AR as requested.
* Recommend and implement any accounts receivable system enhancements taking into consideration of tax reporting of country jurisdictions.
* Ensure that all accounts receivable activities are done in an accurate and timely manner.
* Enforces Credit Policy compliance, regulatory and legal compliance, credit transaction integrity and completeness of all transactions within the Credit Team.
* Serve as primary contact for Travel Agents; interacts in-person and via phone with existing customers, potential customers.
* Work with the Sales and Operations team to ensure that customers are treated with respect and that customer issues are resolved in a timely and appropriate manner.
* Make credit decisions within assigned authority.
