Estimator
Our client is currently recruiting for an Estimator is to provide accurate estimated costs of roads and sewers, housing and site overheads to a standard format and procedure which meets the needs of the business.

Produce base cost estimates for regional house types.
Prepare estimated base costs for all construction elements and activities on a house type basis.
Create and maintain a library of base estimate costs and update as required to reflect market conditions.
Formulate and compile all collated information to produce a base CV2 estimate.
Prepare site specific house type estimates including estimated costs for elevational treatment.
Provide house type information for use when preparing forecasts and budgets.
Prepare, in conjunction with the area surveyor, the actual cost of letting and provide a costs comparison against base CV2 estimate.
Ensure from the information provided that estimated costs are available for use with land purchase viabilities.
Utilise the base estimate CV2 to create a site specific building costs.
Amend building costs to include for plot specific specification.
Calculate the site specific roads, sewers and infrastructure costs.
Prepare a site overhead estimate.
Prepare information as requested for cost reconciliation at financial period ends.
Assist the area surveyor in preparing the cost/value report on current and inactive sites.
Assist with the periodic checking of materials on site.

Education, training or qualifications

BSc Quantity Surveying

Relevant experience

At least 2-3 years experience working in a related role
Experience maybe gained from a similar position or promotion
Good working knowledge or Microsoft packages

Special skills or knowledge

Excellent communications skills
Able to work under pressure, and accept criticism of work
Good team working skills
Accurate with an eye for detail
