TeacherActive are currently looking for an exciting and innovative Secondary English Teacher to work in a successful PRU in Harrow with KS3 and KS4 children who have disengaged from mainstream education. You will need to have strong subject knowledge and the ability to motivate and engage children with their lessons and break down barriers to learning. You will also need to have excellent behaviour management strategies. This is a long term role to begin as soon as possible, with the potential of becoming a permanent role for the right candidate. Experience in a PRU or EBD school is essential.

The school is creates a postivie learning environment with a friendly team of staff who are committed to providing a high standard of education. They are also committed to a child centred approach so that each pupil can access the curriculum and progress at their ability level.

The successful candidate will be

* Experience working with Special Educational Needs, particularly with children who display challenging behaviour

* Knowledgeable about the new National Curriculum and Key Stage qualifications for English
