Introduction
Westminster Synagogue, a dynamic independent, progressive synagogue of over 500 families in Knightsbridge, London with many young families, is seeking a caring, organised and creative professional to serve as an Events Coordinator to perform a wide range of high level events and administrative tasks, and particularly to support the Events & Communications Manager. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a collaborative professional team interested in developing a creative approach to presenting Judaism in a way that interests and inspires congregants.
Job Description
In collaboration with professional and lay leadership, envision, coordinate and implement the Communitys event programming with the objective of inspiring and maximizing family and individual participation in congregational life, as well as attracting prospective members, and ensuring that all programmes align with the mission and vision of Westminster Synagogue.
The new position of the Events Coordinator will require strong attention to detail, excellent technical skills, resourcefulness, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks. Knowledge of the Jewish calendar, traditions and culture is preferred, or a willingness to learn, as well as a high level of English.
