My client is currently looking to recruit 2 SHE Advisors and 1 senior SHE Advisor to join their high performing team on a multi-million pound Thames Water alliance. The roles cover the whole Thames water patch (London and the Thames valleys).

Some Key Tasks & Responsibilities

* Understand Thames Waters Approach Document and Health & Safety, Environmental & Wellbeing Policies and Procedures and statutory requirements as they affect the Project operations and ensure that the requirements are implemented.

* Provide operational and functional management with advice on the prevention of accidents, ill health, environmental incidents and the practical implementation of the Thames Water SHEW Approach document and related policies.

* Provide operational and functional management with advice for obtaining legal consents, licences and exemptions such as discharge consents, abstraction licences and waste management licences.

* Assist the Project Manager in preparing and developing the Construction Phase Plan & coordinator reviews.

* Undertake site SHEW inspections as required. Participate as requested in SHEW Audit and inspections.

* Advise on the assessment and appointment of sub-contractors.

* Assist where necessary with tenders and presentations to external bodies.

* When requested, advise on the preparation of SHEW risk assessments and Method Statements

* Ensure that appropriate Projects SHEW performance is monitored and reports are provided as required by the SHEW Manager, and Portfolio Lead.

* Assist in the investigation of incidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses and other incidents where appropriate. Monitor and coordinate the close out of the above.

* Ensure that appropriate Project SHEW performance reports are provided as required by Delivery North.

* Assist in the preparation and implementation of SHEW training courses and ensure that staff with specific SHEW responsibilities have received the appropriate training. Organise the relevant SHEW Training where required.

* Actively promote Delivery North SHEW campaigns in addition to the implementation of best practice principles across the business, to include stakeholders such as the supply chain.

* Set standards and lead by example in the management of SHEW

Price / Salary: £45000 - £50000/annum
