Sr Mechanical Design Engineer / CVE **

Oaklands Global has been commissioned by a leading rotary client to recruit an experienced Sr Mechanical Design Engineer / CVE to join them on a permanent basis
As the Sr Mechanical Design Engineer / CVE, you will be responsible for providing mechanical and structural design drawings as required by the head of department ensuring that compliance is kept at all times to company/industry standards.

This role reports to the Head of Design

Location: West Country, UK

Main Responsibilities include but not be limited to:
Establish the overall concept, design and produce detailed drawings for all aspects of aircraft modifications ensuring airworthiness requirements are met.
Cooperate in establishing the entire certification program
Compilation and checking of drawings, specifications, reports and compliance documents
Create and maintain close and effective liaison between the systems designers.
Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Companys Design Office Handbook and other Company design and drawing standards.
Shop floor liaison about manufacturing and installation relating to mechanical design.
Shop Floor liaison about fault diagnosis and component queries.
Build positive relationships with customers and suppliers and resolve problems.
Work closely with all internal teams, promoting good relations and team working.

To be considered for the role the candidate must have:
Have a Degree or HND/C in an aeronautical/mechanical engineering or related discipline.
Ideally, have held CVE status for Mechanical or Structural design
Sound knowledge of civil regulatory requirements related to design (EASA Part 21, CS-25, CS-27, CS-29).
A solid background in aerospace design
Worked for a Part 21J Design Organisation previously
Computer literate with strong knowledge of CAD 3D
Good attention to detail.
