Global provider of subsea production control systems expertise to the Oil & Gas industry, has an exciting opportunity for a Reliability Specialist Engineer to join their Application engineering team, based in Reading.
Our clients' Subsea Application Engineering Division is responsible for managing the system aspects of the Subsea production systems. Reporting to the Principal Engineer of Reliability Analysis, the core function of the role will be to; Advise the Systems Engineers when preparing the technical content of fixed price bids, budgetary bids and studies including clarification to technical tenders; and to Analyse and review the Subsea Production System, refining the proposed design to provide an optimised system where appropriate. Project reporting will be directly to the Project Manager or Project Engineer.
Other key responsibilities include;
- Engineering duties on Tendering, Study and Project work, including advising on system specification, documentation
- Ensure system & system elements are appropriate for use within the SPCS & meet all statutory
- Participate in system design at system design reviews & ensure that work package design achieves system requirements
- Deliver analysis reports in a timely manner
- Familiarity and compliance with the discipline processes, company procedures, project specifications and statutory regulations so that a standard approach to design is adopted whilst satisfying customer requirements
- Handling discipline specific external & internal communications for the Analysis Team
- Participate in Technical Forums in the Analysis discipline
- Ensure documents are fit for purpose & meet all client requirements
- Provide support on technical development issues relevant to Reliability Analysis
- Support the training within the Analysis discipline to improve engineers
We are looking for engineers with the following experience and qualifications;
- Specific background in electrical/electronic engineering is essential
- Degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering and relevant industry experience
- Extensive theoretical and working knowledge of Reliability Methods and applications for Subsea Production Systems
- Detailed knowledge of Reliability analysis packages is desirable
- Ability to solve problems and identify well thought out practical solutions
- Working Knowledge of how to conduct a FMEA/FMECA & RAM
