Immediate start, up to end of year with possible extension

Paying: £13.29 Paye or £16.54 Limited Company per hour
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A 3 WEEK ROTATING SHIFT PATTERN
(6.00AM - 2.00PM) Days/Mornings (2.00pm - 10.00pm) Afternoons (10.00pm - 6.00am) Nights

Reporting to: Fabrication Supervisor

Purpose: The role is for a Press operator, you will be reading engineering drawings and operating the machine to manufacture various different sized batch work, working with hard and soft metals (typically aluminium) up to 5mm thickness.
Client looking for someone with experience of setting and operating massive presses working on hard materials, ideally steel.

Responsibilities:

- To ensure work is carried out in accordance with work card instructions and associated drawings and specifications.
- To read and understand the requirements of the SPS Aerostructures Employee handbook.
- To comply with SPS Quality work instruction 9 Part 11- Employee's General
Quality Requirements.
- Work in a safe manner in order to satisfy Health and Safety legislation and to avoid accident or injury to people, machinery or property.
- Carrying out such other duties as may reasonably be required within the jobholder's capabilities consistent with the Terms and Conditions of employment.

Qualifications, skills, attributes, experience required:

The successful candidate will be an experienced press operator and machinist, with an aerospace background. Preferably the candidate will have experience over a range of sheet metal/press forming machine
