Electro-Mechanical Fitter, Oxford, £24,000 - £28,000

An exciting engineering / manufacturing company is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Fitter to join their team on a permanent basis to work at their new site in Oxford.

Working in a high technology environment the Electro-Mechanical Fitter will work as part of the engineering team, and will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical fitting and assembly in accordance with engineering drawings.

Other responsibilities include: Wiring of control cabinet panels from detailed wiring drawings; Electrical wiring of machines, cable routing and finishing; Mechanical build and assembly; Construction and assembly of parts, sub assemblies and machines working to detailed drawings.

In order to be considered for this position candidates need to have proven experience in either electrical fitting / mechanical fitting or Electro-mechanical Fitting, and as such have the ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings / schematic diagrams. Candidates will be considered from either electrical or mechanical backgrounds, however it would be advantageous to have proven experience in both disciplines. It would also be advantages to have gained this experience working within a special purpose / automated machinery environment.

This position is commutable from Oxford, Witney, Abingdon, Didcot, Faringdon, Wantage and other areas within Oxfordshire.
