Pay Rate: £9.81 - £12.01 p.h.
Hours are: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday 07:30am - 4:30pm)
Duration: Temp on-going

SkyBlue are currently recruiting on behalf of HMPPS at HMP Feltham in Middlesex. This can be a challenging environment, however due to the high demand of work this could be a long term opportunity for the correct candidate.

Key Duties:

To carry out grounds maintenance tasks within HMP Feltham's 98 acre key parks of land. The candidate will be required to work alone and deliver a constant high quality of work to our client. The role will require a multi-skilled person as it will involve various duties depending on the time of year.

There is a mixture of grassland, amenity borders, biodiversity areas, tree, sports pitches and we need someone with a broad horticultural knowledge.
main duties include:

* Grass cutting
* Shrub bed maintenance
* hedge cutting
* leaf collection
* Strimming
* Collection of waste bins
* Litter picking
* Collection/transportation of Sharps
* Removal of graffiti
* Removal/collection of animal waste]
* Snow and ice clearance
* Using small machinery items, strimmers, blowers, mowers, hedge-cutters
* Work under the direction of the line manager to complete other tasks as and when required, carry out tasks in other locations as required.
* Proficient in using a commercial ride-on lawn mower, and ideally, have tractor driving experience and be able to use a PTO mounted chipper.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Mandatory:
Full UK Driving License (you maybe required to work in more than one key parks in the area or transport equipment etc.)
Grounds maintenance experience
Ability to obtain DBS (Formally CRB)
Ability to complete accurate records
Good understanding of written and spoken English
Hold a Basic Horticultural Certificate

Desired:
Trailer licence
Pa1/Pa6 knapsack spraying
First Aid Certificate
Playground Inspection experience
Any horticultural Qualifications

To be able to work within the HM Prison Service, you must be able to pass the standard security vetting process. If you either hold a current DBS, previous CTC clearance or have worked in that environment before. We are looking to speak to you!
