The Client:
High value, low volume electromechanical equipment.
The Role:
The Manufacturing Production Manager, will provide the direction and leadership for their complete product supply function. The successful candidate will play a significant role in maximising the organisations growth and profitability through insightful leadership, and strong focus on systems and processes to improve productivity and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee and direct the planning, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new or existing products.
+ Implement and maintain an accurate production schedule.
+Review and adjust the schedule where needed
- Determine the human resources required
- Determine the material resources required
+ Manage human and material resources to meet production targets
+ Develop and implement systems that ensure compliance with Company and industry regulatory requirements for quality, safety, and environment.
+ Responsible for driving operational efficiencies, with a clear focus on the design, build and delivery of world class quality products within budget and on schedule while meeting and exceeding product margin goals.
+ Proactively engage/work with product line management, engineering, service and other departments to incorporate best practices into the production environment and develop cross functional relationships.
+ Develop, implement, and monitor departmental objectives and schedules including setting priorities and performance expectations while ensuring alignment with expected deliverables and Company goals.
+ Manage departmental budget and spending in support of company objectives for cost control while maintaining effectiveness.
+ Create and drive facility manufacturing initiatives which are aggressive, yet obtainable and align goals to strategic and corporate goals.
+ Define, drive, and deliver key product and process improvements.
+ Accountable for the production and delivery of high quality products.
+ Foster an environment that supports learning, individual development and openness to change.

+ Monitor and execute capacity planning supply capabilities for the long term
+ Identify skills, knowledge, and experience required within manufacturing to meet the long term manufacturing strategy and implement training plans to meet this.

+ Ensure that direct report(s) are trained and evaluated on their knowledge and adherence to the Companys values, Code of Ethics and Conduct, and applicable compliance policies.
Experience and Attributes:
+ Because of the specific nature of both product and processes it is essential that this individual has an excellent grasp of mechanical and electrical manufacturing principles.
+ Good understanding of electrical and mechanical assembly and test methods.
+ Experience of complex mechanical and electrical assemblies is required.
+ The ability to construct plans with many variables and to subsequently act on, and adhere to those plans, is deemed to be a prime requisite of this position.
+ Excellent man-management, communication skills and the ability to motivate a team to achieve challenging targets are fundamental
+ The appointed individual must continually strive for excellence of quality and must have the correct mind-set to grasp issues surrounding manufacturing processes.
+ In terms of personal attributes this individual must be a self-starter with the ability to organise and prioritise work, and to communicate clearly with all levels within the business.
The ability and experience of having delivered on time and to a specification is a must have.
+ Lead time focused to successfully and reliably meet targets and deadlines.
+ A mind-set attuned to a positive can-do attitude combined with a desire for continuous improvement is vital in this role.
Knowledge, Training and Qualifications:
+ Appropriate experience in a high pressure, rapidly changing manufacturing environment is considered significantly more important than paper qualifications. Specific leadership and objective setting qualifications would however, be considered an advantage.
Salary:
Up to £50,000 Plus benefits
