About the role
The Parts Department winning aspiration is to provide the right part, at the right place, at the right price, at the right time, ensuring that when a customer does have to claim, their experience of parts supply is effortless.
The team provides proactive management of inventory, tooling assets and parts supply chain, and reactive parts identification and supply support for engineers, contractors, and customers.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Parts Agent. This office based role is to oversee and control all system processes in relation to inventory management. Operate as a support function to the field based van stock controllers, by inputting, monitoring and overseeing stock inventory accurate across all parts stock holdings.
* You will work with key field based personnel to ensure up to date and accurate records are maintained, and stock levels remain within pre-determined levels.
* Using your strong admin skills you will facilitate Engineer starter and leaver processes, ensuring new starters have access to purchase parts and leavers access is removed in line with agreed service levels
* You will oversee and maintain van stock audit compliance, keeping accurate records and distributing to interested parties
* Work with van stock controllers to maintain system accuracy in relation to inventory levels across the business
* You will be responsible for maintaining accurate van and engineer records
* Investigate van stock orders over specified thresholds and take suitable corrective actions
* Set up and maintenance of products, pricing and profiles within the inventory systems
* Consolidate reporting in relation to parts orders, engineer behaviour, and product issues
* Manage PPE/uniform orders on behalf of engineers
* Support Engineers with Goods Receipting when required
About You:
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:
Essential:
* Excellent record keeping and accuracy skills
* Proven track record as a strong system administrator
* Previous experience of working in a parts or customer service environment
* Proficient using MS Office packages
* Excellent PC ability and typing skills
* Self motivated
Desirable:
* Experience of working in an inventory control role
* Experience of working with suppliers
