Sewell Wallis are currently working with a large and well know business based in York, who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant. This would be a fantastic opportunity for progression.

As Management Accountant your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

­ The preparation of monthly management accounts including the creation and posting of journals
­ Creation, maintenance and posting of accruals, prepayments
­ Reconciling inter-company transactions
­ Payroll analysis, creation and posting of journals
­ Maintaining existing balance sheet reconciliations to cover fixed assets, current assets and current liabilities with back up documentation for review
­ Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, raising depreciation journals and posting
­ Producing monthly Profit & Loss variance analysis to forecast for line manager review
­ Monthly VAT validation, quarterly returns and reconciliations
­ Setting up and maintaining branch accounting within Practices

The ideal Candidate:
Part Qualified/Qualified in ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Good working knowledge of Sage 50 / Sage 200
